Alpha Tau Omega - 1902

Here is a vintage Alpha Tau Omega pin with 34 seed pearls and 14 emeralds. It is engraved on the back with, "C. P. HUNTER, UNIV. OF ILL., 5 '02." The University of Illinois chapter is Illinois Gamma Zeta and was founded in 1895 meaning thismember joined within th efirst 7 years! Don't miss this amazingly mint oldie but goodie! Alpha Tau Omega - Diamonds

Length: 7/16" Width: 7/16" Mass: 2.9 grams

This is a sweetheart Alpha Tau Omega brotherhood pin with 14 seed pearls and 11 diamonds. This pin has a T-bar and a barrel clasp. We are not sure of the exact date of the pin, but it is in mint condition and would be a great addition to any ATO's collection. A guestimate would be around 1910!

Alpha Tau Omega - 1941

Length: 1/2" Width: 1/2" Mass: 3 grams

Here is a beautiful sweetheart ATO pin with 8 seed pearls and 8 rubies. It is engraved on the back with, "R. W. McCALL, Delta Beta, 41" and the LGB mark. The Delta Beta chapter was founded at the University of Iowa in 1915 and was inactive 1972-1987. This chapter is currently active as of 1987.

Alpha Tau Omega - c.1932

Here is another example of a HUGE Alpha Tau Omega pin with 48 seed pearls. It is engraved on the back with, "W. A. M., 28513." In 1930 there were 25,687 initiates and in 1940 there were 38,102 so we are estimating this pin to be from circa 1932.

Alpha Tau Omega with Pearls

Length: 9/16" Width: 9/16" Mass: 5.3 grams

This is a HUGE example of an Alpha Tau Omega brotherhood pin. This badge is much larger than any we have ever seen and comparitively huge next to the plain badges seen below. the diameter is 9/16". It is adorned with a whopping 40 seed pearls. The back of the pin is engraved with " W. L. S." and it also has a 10k stamp. We are not sure of the exact date of the pin, but it is in mint condition and would be a great addition to any ATO's collection.

Alpha Tau Omega with Pearls

Here is an Alpha Tau Omega brotherhood pin. It is adorned with a whopping 36 seed pearls. The back of the pin is engraved with "OHIO Delta Lambda." The Ohio Delta Lambda chapter was founded at the University of Cincinnati in 1922. We are not sure of the date of this pin because it does not have the usual marking of the bond number for this member; the O pin does have a barrel clasp typical of the 1920s. Please note that the chapter guard is currently not attached but was boughth together; the O is an O (for Ohio-we are assuming) not Delta Lambda.

Alpha Tau Omega - c. 1910

Length: 7/16" Width: 7/16" Mass: 2.7 grams

Here is an Alpha Tau Omega badge. It is engraved on the back, "9270, T.S.M." It does have the typical Epsilon Pi markings on the back. In 1905 there were 6,486 members of this fraternity and in 1923 there were 17,950. Based on this information we are estimating this pin to be from circa 1910. The barrel clasp confirms age time frame.

Here is another example of an older Alpha Tau Omega brotherhood pin. Along with the usual markings of ATO, the pin is engraved with the initials "W.O.L." and "18381". In 1927 there were 22,105 initiates, so this pin would probably fall somewhere in the early 1920's.

Technology in 1923.

Alpha Tau Omega c. 1920

Length: 1/2" Width: 1/2" Mass: 3.1 grams

This is a fantastic example of an Alpha Tau Omega brotherhood pin. The back of the pin is engraved with the usual ATO markings, along with the initiation number of "16326" and "H.E.R." We are not sure of the exact date of the pin, but in 1927 there were 22,105 initiates, so this would date the pin to the early '20's. (There were 25,687 initiates in 1930.) The red mark shown is a light colored, perhaps, marker that may be able to be cleaned off professionally. There is no damage to the front nor is it too visible on the back, as seen. All together, this is a very nice example of an early 20's badge!

In 1930 there were 25,687 initiates and in 1940 there were 38,102 so we are estimating this pin to be from circa 1937. This pin also has the LGB mark on the back.

Here is an Alpha Tau Omega badge. It is engraved on the back, "37153, C.G.C." and the LGB mark. It does have the typical Epsilon Pi markings on the back. In 1935 there were 31,010 members of this fraternity and in 1940 there were 38,102. Based on this information we are estimating this pin to be from circa 1939.

In 1940 there were 38,102 members of this fraternity and in 1949 there were 50,143. Based on this information we are estimating this pin to be from circa 1943.

Here is another mini Alpha Tau Omega pin with an attached Alpha Psi chapter guard. The Alpha Psi chapter was founded at Wittenberg University in Ohio in 1883. It is not engraved on the back, but does have the maker's mark. Although it is not stamped, this pin is guaranteed to be at least 10k gold.
